Have you ever felt ‘Sunday Dread’ the slow rising level of anxiety you feel as the new working week approaches?
Have you felt an inability to focus on one task through to completion ? Instead you find yourself bouncing from one task to another in a vain attempt to reduce an ever expanding ‘To Do’ list.
Have you experienced a higher than normal level of irritability leading to uncharacteristic impatience with loved ones or colleagues?
Are you suffering from a lack of energy but struggle to find the motivation to exercise or make the food choices to redress this energy slump?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions you may be on the slippery slope to experiencing burn out. It is vital to reach out to somebody who can help you address this.
During my tenure as a CEO I collapsed early one morning in my bathroom, mobile phone in hand checking emails. It transpired that I had succumbed to Pneumonia, a potentially deadly virus.
I recognised with hindsight this was a physical manifestation of burn out brought on by working excessive hours and internalising pressure.
I learnt lessons the hard way and as a consequence it became a major focus of my work to share those lessons and the tools, tips and strategies I implemented that can help you avoid the physical and mental impact of burnout whilst attaining new levels of performance, personal and professional fulfilment.
